Information about the Alpe di Siusi

The Alpe di Siusi is surrounded by the impressive mountain group of the Sassolungo with the Sassopiatto, Sassolungo and the Grohman Peak, by the famous national park of the Sciliar with the mountain massif of the Catinaccio, by the beautiful view to the Odles peaks until to the 3000 m summits of the alpine chain and finally by the wonderful mountain of the Sciliar with its Santner Peak.

The 2563 m high Sciliar is already visible from the province capital Bolzano and is surrounded by the villages of Castelrotto, Siusi allo Sciliar and Fiè with their areas of S. Michele, S. Oswaldo, S. Valentino, S. Costantino, Tagusa, Tisens and some more. In these areas a lot of sights can be visited, like churches, chapels, castles, ruins and monasteries. But the real uniqueness of Castelrotto and the entire area of Sciliar is the love for the detail like the tradition and the wellbeing transmitted to the tourists and the relaxing and marvelous surrounding landscape.
